The North Lyon County Fire Protection District Board of Directors have approved to place a ballot initiative on this year's ballot for a 5 cent property tax increase. If approved by the voters of Fernley, this increase will solely be used to hire additional daily staffing.

The North Lyon County Fire Protection District is SEPARATE from the City of Fernley and is governed by its own elected Board of Directors.
